ChinaCare at the Chinese Business and Investors Forum

In Duisburg fand on the 13th November 2015 the forth Chinese Business and Investors Forum took place. With around 700 people taking part it is an important platform for scientific dialog of German-Chinese partnerships in Germany. The Forum was opened by Petra Wassner, CEO of NRW.INVEST and Rasmus C. Beck, Managing Director of Wirtschaftsförderung Metropole Ruhr GmbH. This was followed by Sören Link, Mayor of Duisburg, who issued a greeting to the many visitors from China and Germany. The economic cooperation between the two countries was discussed in a number of presentations and discussion platforms. The North Rhine-Westphalian Economics Minister, Garrelt Duin, pointed this out that China is currently being transformed profoundly and many standards are undergoing huge improvement. This change provides opportunities for German companies which should be seized upon quickly.

The ChinaCare team is taking this opportunity to promote in care for the elderly in China. Overall, the project team was able to use the event to establish numerous new contacts and to learn about current aspects of Chinese-German relationship.
