Intergenerational balance
Demographic challenges in the world of work in France and Germany
On 29th and 30th January 2015 the combined project DEBBI took part in the final international conference, „Intergenerational balance, Demographic challenges in the world of work in France and Germany”. The event was held in Strasbourg's Palais de la Musique et des Congrès, the conference was also attended by our project partners including:
• The Research Institute for innovative work design and prevention FIAP e.V. (Gelsenkirchen),
• The Institute of practice research and project consulting IPP (Munich),
• Adesso AG (Dortmund) und
• gaus gmbh (Dortmund)
They were accompanied and supported by
• Demography Network e.V. (ddn), • Department of Social Psychology and Sport Management (SPMS), University of Burgundy.
The bilingual (German-French) conference provided a platform to present the project results gathered from research and corporate practice. The findings from these two areas were delivered separately for the situation in Germany and the situation in France and brought together in the conclusion before considering the key question: What can Germany and France to learn from each other?
Explanations of ideas and tools developed in project DEBBI completed the presentation, which served as the basis for a lively discussion. This gave a new stimulus to the numerous assembled representatives from research and industry who had accepted the invitation to Strasbourg. DEBBI was able to provide new perspectives for scientists and corporate projects in both countries.
