Book publication from the joint project DEBBI
„Der Alterskraftunternehmer“ (The older entreployee)

The project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research Network, Project DEBBI: "Discontinuous careers as an innovation opportunity - Tapping the potential of innovative senior by operating systems of innovation" has now submitted its scientific results as a result of several years of research, under the title: “Der Alterskraftunternehmer”. The ambiguities and potentials of a new image of old age in “the flexible world of work” are presented with the results of representative surveys, the tools developed to support the enterprise and the first practical experiences. The book is published by Helga dill and Heinrich Keupp and the publisher “transcript”.

The content introduction of the book reads: "The demographic change is full of ambiguities and contradictions, introducing scenarios which mix strong fears with confidence. Today older people are in the internal and external views younger people more than in previous generations. However, in many cases 50-year-olds applying in the labour market are already considered too old. How can we, in view of flexibility, delimitation and subjectivity in the working world, present their own skills, their own experience and their knowledge appropriately, and which resources need individuals like these? These are the questions the authors looked at from different perspectives and accordingly proposed suggestions for successful aging in a fluid society.”
