ChinaCare: Working visit by the Medicine School of Fushun to develop elderly care training in China

In November 2014 four high-ranking representatives from the Medical School in Fushun undertook a working trip to Germany. With their project partners from Chinacare they gathered information on the training concepts, and the export of elderly care training from Germany to China. The FIAP managed project is being conducted in cooperation with the KBS Mönchengladbach, MA & T Aachen and gaus gmbh (Dortmund). Associated partners in the project are the representative of Fushun City in Gelsenkirchen and the School of Medicine Fushun (China). An extensive “Train the Trainer” program, which was implemented as part of the visit should provide the Chinese project partners with the ability to develop a curriculum for geriatric care training in Fushun, which can then be evaluated by the German partners. This will launch in 2015 with support from German teacher training courses in geriatric care at the Fushun Health School.

As part of an international conference in Fushun in 2015, the “Train the Trainer” concept will be presented. The conference in China will support the export of this concept in other regions and to other medical schools in China.
