Export of Educational services in the care sector - experiences from the cooperation with China
The ChinaCare project explores, researches and tests possible models for the formation and export of educational and training modules for the elderly care from Germany to China. With support from scientific, and accompanied organisational consultants, a permanent German-Chinese partnership for the creation of education and training structures will be established in China for the modernisation of the Chinese elderly care sector, and it’s increase social esteem.
In the spring of 2014, the first trip of the project was carried out in the target region. A seven-member delegation undertook a two week trip to Liaoning, to consult with representatives from the cities of Panjin and Fushun, and their medical schools, about the possibilities of transfer and cooperation in the field of nursing education. Without any claim to scientific precision, or a consciously subjective perspective, this issue of the journal ‘transfær’ contains details of the trip, and describes it’s results, experiences and impressions, so as to make the opportunities and problems of education export beyond scientific abstractions more tangible.
