Press Release: Labour and employment forms in change
Four joint projects focus groups „Labour and employment forms in change“, who have worked together in the framework of the BMBF funding priority “Balance of flexibility and stability in a changing world of work”, presents their final publication.
The book provides, amongst others, the results from Professor. Dr. Hartmut Neuendorff and the Dr. Rüdiger Klatt led combined project FlexiBalance: „Work-Life-Balance in flexible labour and employment forms: Operational promotion of innovation through family- orientated personal service concepts”. This research was carried out with the cooperation of TU Dortmund, Department of Sociology of Work, with Manpower GmbH & Co KG (Minden), the AWO regional confederation OWL e.V. (Bielefeld) and with the TrainingsZentrumZeitarbeit (training centre time work) TZZ GmbH, Dortmund

New work and employment forms are primarily for the flexibility of the company, but also require stabilisation of employees as well as on the part of the companies. In the book central concepts and possible configurations of flexibility are presented and discussed. It summarizes the results of four applied research projects on the topic of "labor and employment forms in Transition" together, which have been promoted as a major cooperative projects of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
The Target Groups
Executives and personnel managers in Industry, and service enterprises, self-employed and entrepreneurs, who have to face the issue of work and family compatibility.
The Editors
Professor Dr. Stephan Kaiser is Professor of Business Administration, in particular Personnel Management and Organisation and on the Board of the Institute for development for sustainable organisations, at the University of Bunderwehr Munich.
Professor Dr. Eva Bamberg isthe Professor for work and organisational psychology at the University of Hamburg.
Dr. Rüdiger Klatt is the Executive Chairman of the Board of the Research Institute for innovative approach to work and prevention e.V. in Gelsenkirchen (FIAP).
Dr. Sonja Schmicker is the Academic Advisor at the Institute of Ergonomics, Manufacturing Systems and Automation at the Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg and Director of the METOP (man-technology-organization-planning) GmbH.
