The focus group, "Employment history as a driver of innovation and demographic change", on the demographics of the BMBF conference

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research follows the motto "The demographic opportunity" fot the science year 2013 and put up position with that: Demographic change is an opportunity, not a spectre. Changes are not only to be observed, analyzed and described but are also an opportunity to make changes. With this positive, action-oriented message, the BMBF presents the results of the scientific work of various disciplines in speech and writing, in sound and pictures, posters and events and museums.
In May 2013 over 400 experts from science, business and politics gathered in Berlin under the banner "Innovation and demographic change" to present their findings and concepts discussed the future of work in Germany.

The focus group "Employment history as a driver of innovation and demographic change" ran a survey with the aim to use the expertise of the participants gathered to answer the question: How far have we really come already in Germany in terms of "shaping the demographic opportunity" and where we still have a need for action?

The results are published in the next issue of the præview magazine.
