A Nationwide group of scientists and researchers present "Eschborner theses on work research"

"What is the purpose of researching work for the future of our society?” There are strong indications that the political perception of this research has diminished in recent years, and funding is being targeted in technology in the belief that this holds more possibilities for exploitation. So do we accept that we only need a rudimentary investment in working practice research, in-line with the current political trend to invest in technology? Or is an increase in industrial research investment needed right now? How must the government convey it’s decision, in order to appear proactive? Considering these questions is a nationwide group of scientists and researchers, representing renowned scientific institutions. They are holding a series of meetings in the RKW Competence Centre in Eschborn to consider the consequences of each path, and assist the government in it’s decision. From detailed and comprehensive working papers and studies presented/discussed here the group members were able to refine the options and arrive at a broad consensus of which way to proceed. These papers have been made available for scientific, labor and economic discussion. "(Jorg Hentrich, RKW Competence Center, Eschborn, Eschborn Theses, p.1).
