“Service and Digitalisation“

27/28.5.2014 Announcement BMBF-Conference Service and Digitization in Berlin

Economies and societies area increasingly affected by digitisation. These services are opening an increasingly large number innovative opportunities and enabling broad participation in these advances through the integration of “invisible” internet services, independent of time and place. This will be of increasing value and importance around the world as process of innovation changes. The boundaries between producer and consumer are blurred, customers are in many ways already "prosumers", who help develop services and products. This in turn requires a new vision of service engineering and integrated service production, which will eventually lead to intelligent services and will be an integral part of completely new products. This change also requires the design of a framework for crowd-sourcing, digital work, safety in handling large volumes of data and user-driven innovation.
